Slang Quiz
In the show, the two lead characters Kay and Dom (played by Hammed and Gbemisola) are forced to go deep undercover to penetrate an East London drug gang, led by Tevin (played by Akemnji Ndifornyen). Kay and Dom aren’t accustomed to gang culture and the lingo that accompanies it, making them stick out like a sore thumb and frequently blowing their cover. To invite audiences into the world of Black Ops, we decided to put Hammed, Gbemisola, and Akemnji to the test, seeing how much of their scripts they were absorbing. The resulting 4 minute video was published on the BBC’s YouTube channel (16x9) and on iPlayer’s Instagram and TikTok pages (9x16).
In For Questioning
In For Questioning is a format that sees Gbemisola and Hammed go head-to-head to learn some interesting things about one and another. I produced the shoot in Shoreditch Studios.
Meet Kay
I also conducted interviews with the cast that were used for character profile edits. The interviews were then later cut with show footage and used to promote the series at launch.
