ASIA
Asia is a landmark BBC series narrated by Sir David Attenborough, showcasing the continent’s stunning landscapes and wildlife. As Senior Producer within the Creative Team, my sole focus for this project was influencer activity, working to bring the series to new audiences through strategic partnerships and engaging content.
Client: BBC Studios
Rangoli
The show launched during Diwali, so I was tasked with creating a social moment that aligned with the religious festival. I discovered Bhagyashree Deshpande, a rangoli artist based in Pune, India. Rangoli is a traditional Indian art form where intricate patterns are created on the ground using coloured powders, rice, or sand, often as part of festive celebrations. I commissioned Bhagyashree to recreate the show’s key artwork as a stunning sand rangoli. Together, we created a suite of social assets for BBC Earth, which garnered over 1 million views across platforms. I remotely produced the entire shoot, working closely with Bhagyashree to bring her vision to life.
Jocie B ASMR
World-famous ASMR artist, Jocie B ASMR, created a mudskipper spa experience video, blending footage from the show with her bespoke ASMR triggers. I discovered Jocie and conceived the entire creative idea, managing the project from ideation to delivery. The video has nearly 2 million views and counting, making it one of BBC Studios’ most successful influencer partnerships to date.
Ms Shi & Mr He
Finally, I was tasked with executing influencer activity in the family space and found US-based Chinese couple Ms Shi and Mr He to create a skit based on show footage. Blending storytelling with traditional Asian food, The Battle for the Last Teriyakipresented the often hard-hitting themes of the show through a light and approachable lens, making it both entertaining and engaging for a broader audience.
